Open Hearts Ministries has partnered with New Hearts Ministries of Arkansas. New Hearts Ministries of Arkansas is a Christ-centered, faith-value based non-profit organization that teaches Biblical principles and life skills and provides practical assistance to women who were/are incarcerated, and/or displaced, and/or battered women. New Hearts Ministries has a strong emphasis on mentoring.

Tena Hauk, the Founder and Executive Director of New Hearts, worked as a Program Counselor for a Program of Prison Fellowship Ministries, The Inner Change Freedom Initiative Program (IFI) from August 2006 until August 2011 when the Program was shut down due to funding issues.  During her employment at IFI, Tena spoke into the lives of many of the women at the Wrightsville-Hawkins Unit and witnessed, first hand, the transformation that often takes place in hearts through the Word of God, love, and acceptance.  She continued to be a source of encouragement to many of the women after they were released.

Open Hearts Ministries is excited about this partnership with Tena and her ministry. Next year in October of 2016, Tena will be building women teams from the United States to Nicaragua and minister to the woman of Nicaragua.
